A triumvirate of breathless police officers barge into the Riverside Rooms. I assume the position,  hands on the wall legs apart and shout “I know my rights. Call my lawyer. It’s a set up”.  A bemused officer walked past me and towards a more responsive individual from the Cape Farewell team.  “It's my mobile phone” I shout at them“mine".   They look at me and then continue discussing.

Apparently after spraying on the back of the Riverside Rooms a youth gave chase. On being caught the ensuing struggle led to possible charges of assaulting a police officer along with the criminal damage. I  start to slowly wipe the wall with my hands in an attempt to seem as if I  was checking the wall was sturdy enough adn not assuming the position. I push it a little to see if its sturdy and sit quietly, meekly, at my desk.

South Bank security arrives and it’s all dealt with. In the middle of their discussion when the police officer is explaining how “the youth had one of us in a headlock” I suggested that his spraying “could have been an art installation?”. The police officer and security guard look at me and I turn back to my desk cause it needs um.. rearranging.

"there's alot of rhyme out there in the streets" I say as they leave "it's national poetry day". The officer and south bank security give me a look of pity and leave.
