I shall write my time at The South Bank in the blog. It could be time consuming but it should at least be a record of the work I am doing. I arrived at 10.30am and then spent an hour (no
two hours) trying to get online. Called IT again and
again until eventually someone was available. Got online. By online I mean that
I could get within the South bank Matrix. Twelve noon arrived.
Did interview with Metaroar downstairs at EAT café with a very nice woman called
Naomi Woddis who had the good grace to come see my work in progress at the Hammersmith
Lyric this weekend as research. The interview was thoroughly enjoyable. That is no guarantee of how an interview will look when it goes to print. People seem often not to realise that there are three people in any given interview - they are The subject, The Writer of the interview and the reader.
1.30pm met
with Fiona Lambert and Fraiser Trainer to discuss a writing workshop which I
will be doing tomorrow afternoon. The
workshop links with Modern Painting Exhibition and centres on pictures. The
students are part of Mary King’s Pulse team: a group of dynamic enthused
individuals. The poem/s and parts of
poems will be used as material for vocal music in a subsequent workshop with
Fraser Trainer. The meeting is good. I
hear that Fiona Lambert is possibly, going to be the artist in residence
coordinator which would be a wonderful thing.
Ran through
emails. MUST WRITE SCRIPT FOR LITERATURE BROCHURE. Will do
tomorrow. Onlyu heard about it recently.
The aforementioned workshop is tomorrow
too. Things gang up so easily here. Need
a list of things to do. Top of the list. DO LIST.
