It’s  a gorgeous day today. At ten am I pass in to an  Italian Deli  just outside Little Italy and buy  a Panatone as a present for the production and literature team – they all sit close to each other. It’s a thankyou for there organisation of  the 24 hour party people event.

Come into office and get on with sorting out Advice sessions for members of the public who are interested in getting advice. The dates Monday 11th and 12th of December are chocker block with people coming in to discuss their work. It’s fantastic. It takes two hours to sort my phone out as believe it or not up until now it has bot been sorted out. I have not been able to leave messages nor hear it ringing. Turns out the number isn’t working I have a new number now 0207 921 0879. YAY

At 3pm I have a dynamic meeting with Lucy Macnab about projects these are

a)      Getting the poems around the south bank up and running (once a month or twice a month).  I suggest that it should be once a month. This means that each worker. Lucy has sorted it so that the workers get a poem with their wage packet How brilliant is that!!  I need to choose two poems. And get help with permissions.

b)      The idea about the book of poems. This is a project where all the poetry throughout the south bank, through the music programme and the literature programme and dance and art will be collated and edited in one publication. It’ beautiful. The action is that we will speak to the poetry library who will help. It’s perfect for raising the profile of both poetry and the library!

c)      Imagine: we discussed the children in care idea for which I have three things for one event. The first is Supersonic a video just made of famous and or successful people who were in care The second is Flourish a set of artwork by children in care and thirdly The launch of the letterbox club.

At 4pm I meet with Melanie Abrahams of Rennaisance One and Director of NALD (National Association of Literature Development Workers) who has already had a meeting with Glen Max  (music booker at South Bank) about booking Jill Scott for London Liming and the Letterbox Club Launch.  At 5pm I go home.
